Placements24 seeks an Events and Functions Coordinator for a Paarl venue to deliver memorable experiences from planning through execution. You will collaborate with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery for weddings, corporate events, and private functions.

The role demands strong organisational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to negotiate with diverse vendors while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years proven experience as an Events Coordinator or similar role.
• Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client liaison.
• Proficiency with event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand event requirements, budget, and vision.
• Develop detailed event plans with timelines, venue layouts, and staffing schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure profitability.
• Oversee event setup, execution and breakdown on the day.
• Gather feedback post-event for continuous improvement.
