Placements24 is seeking a highly creative Events and Sponsorship Manager in Sandton, Gauteng. You will design, plan, and execute a diversified portfolio of high-profile events while securing sponsorships and managing partner relationships to maximize ROI.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in event management and corporate sponsorship within sports/lifestyle sectors, with strong negotiation and budgeting skills, and the ability to coordinate across marketing and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management and corporate sponsorship acquisition and management, preferably within the sports or lifestyle industry.
• Demonstrated success in planning and executing large-scale events and securing significant sponsorship deals.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive event strategies and calendars aligned with brand objectives.
• Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including budgeting, logistics, venue selection, vendor management, and on-site coordination for events in Sandton and beyond.
• Identify potential corporate sponsors, develop compelling proposals, and negotiate sponsorship agreements.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring fulfillment of contractual obligations and maximizing partnership value.
• Develop innovative activation strategies for sponsorships to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and communications teams to ensure integrated campaign execution for events and sponsorships.
• Manage event and sponsorship budgets effectively, ensuring profitability and ROI.
• Oversee the creation of marketing collateral and promotional materials for events and sponsorship opportunities.
• Conduct post-event and post-sponsorship analysis, providing reports on performance, key learnings, and recommendations for future initiatives.
