Placements24 in Kimberley, Northern Cape seeks an hands-on Event Operations Supervisor to oversee the smooth execution of weddings, conferences, and functions at our venue. You will manage setup, staffing, catering, and guest experience, ensuring events meet high standards and client expectations.

You will lead a team of event staff, liaise with caterers, AV and security, and monitor progress, resolving issues quickly while maintaining health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event operations, venue management, or a supervisory role in hospitality.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of event logistics, setup, and service standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, clients, and vendors.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules.
