Placements24 in Paarl, Western Cape, is seeking a Technical Recruiter focused on engineering disciplines to connect top engineers with leading companies across manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle, from requirements gathering to sourcing, interviewing, and placing engineers, in a role with hybrid in-office and remote work.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in technical recruitment, strong sourcing skills for niche engineering roles,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical recruitment, with a focus on engineering.
• Understanding of engineering fields and their skill sets.
• Proven ability to source niche engineering talent.
• Excellent communication and interviewing skills.
• Experience with ATS and online sourcing tools.
• Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects.
• Knowledge of the Western Cape engineering landscape, especially Paarl, is advantageous.
• Relevant technical or HR qualification preferred.
• Results-driven and organized with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for engineering roles (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Software).
• Develop sourcing strategies using engineering job boards, networks and communities.
• Conduct technical interviews and assessments to evaluate skills and experience.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of engineering talent for client needs.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and assess candidates.
• Provide market insights on engineering talent and compensation trends.
• Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the process.
• Maintain candidate data and recruitment activity in the ATS.
• Contribute to the growth of the engineering recruitment division.
