Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure development projects based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee all phases from feasibility through handover, directing engineers, contractors, and consultants to achieve milestones.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in infrastructure project management, with budgets over R10 million, and credentials like PMP/PRINCE2. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or related technical field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years of proven project management experience in infrastructure development (energy/utilities/heavy industry).
• Experience managing large capital projects with budgets exceeding R10 million.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for infrastructure development initiatives.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to meet objectives and timelines.
• Oversee procurement for materials, equipment, and services.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.
• Monitor progress against milestones and report to senior management.
• Coordinate communication among stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
