Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead energy infrastructure initiatives in Rustenburg, North West. This role requires steering projects from conception to closure, managing budgets, timelines, and multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid on-site setting.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of PM experience in energy or large-scale infra, with strong PMI/PRINCE2 knowledge and PMP accreditation as a plus. Expect strategic leadership and stakeholder collaboration.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience in energy/large-scale infrastructure.
• Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects.
• Knowledge of PMI or PRINCE2 methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera.
• Experience with contract management and vendor negotiation.
• Knowledge of environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage budgets exceeding R100 million.
• PMP accreditation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of energy infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource requirements, and budgets.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate and manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
• Communicate project progress, issues, and successes to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation and reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development within the energy infrastructure domain.
