Job summary

Valternative Energy in Johannesburg is seeking a reliable, organised Service Advisor to join our Workshop team. You will manage the service process from arrival to repair and return to the rider or driver.

You will work closely with riders, technicians, parts, administration and management to ensure every job is handled correctly and efficiently. The role requires strong customer-service mindset and excellent communication with keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Previous customer service or administrative experience.
• Experience in a workshop, automotive, fleet or service environment will be an advantage.
• Computer literacy.
• Good communication skills.
• A strong customer-service mindset.
• Customer-focused and professional.
• Well organised and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Receive and book bikes and vehicles for service and repairs.
• Open and maintain accurate job cards.
• Check vehicle details and condition when vehicles arrive.
• Communicate with riders and drivers about repairs.
• Prepare quotations and obtain approval for chargeable repairs.
• Coordinate repair jobs with technicians.
• Follow up on outstanding repairs, parts and approvals.
• Make sure parts and labour are correctly recorded.
• Keep customers updated on repair progress.
• Ensure completed jobs are properly checked, invoiced and closed.
• Manage the vehicle handover process.
• Keep ServCraft and other relevant systems updated.
• Ensure all required documentation and records are completed.
• Follow Valternative's workshop procedures and SOPs.
