Our client is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join their operational team in Nelspruit . You will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems critical to the safe and efficient operation of their facilities. Your role involves ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement devices and control loops, minimizing downtime, and adhering to stringent safety and quality standards. This hands‑on position requires a strong technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the smooth functioning of operations in Mpumalanga . You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair various instruments, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with control systems, PLCs, and DCS components.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical manuals to perform duties.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs performed.

Requirements

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and calibration devices.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, PLCs, and DCS.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
