Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in electrical design for renewables (solar or wind).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, PVsyst or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of SA grid codes and SANS standards; ECSA registration advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for solar PV and wind projects, including single-line diagrams and site layouts.
• Perform load flow, short circuit analyses, and protection coordination.
• Specify equipment (inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling) and grid connection studies.
• Prepare reports, feasibility studies, and design documentation; review contractor designs.
• Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams and stakeholders.
• Support construction and commissioning phases and ensure compliance with standards.
