Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Electrical Design Drafter in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role focuses on translating concepts into precise drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.

You will collaborate with Electrical Engineers, review designs, and ensure compliance with SANS/IEC standards while supporting documentation and panel layout development in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Drafter or Designer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Knowledge of SANS/IEC electrical standards.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare BOMs based on finalized designs.
• Maintain drawing archives and documentation.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure drawings meet company standards and electrical codes.
