Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Design Drafter in Stellenbosch to produce detailed electrical drawings and documentation. You will translate design concepts into accurate schematics and layouts, collaborating closely with electrical engineers to ensure adherence to standards.

This hybrid role offers in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Key duties include maintaining drawing registers, updating revisions, and assisting with BOM preparation.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or drafting-focused qualification.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter with a strong drawings portfolio.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
• Excellent attention to detail and drafting accuracy.
• Hybrid work setup in Stellenbosch with team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings: single-line diagrams, layouts, wiring schedules and schematics.
• Maintain drawing registers and version control.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to implement design changes.
• Assist in BOM preparation based on drawings.
• Support ad-hoc drafting tasks and documentation.
