Midea Group seeks a senior EHS Manager to establish and run the plant’s Environmental, Health, and Safety management system in Johannesburg. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations while driving a zero-incident safety culture on the factory floor.

You will train staff, perform risk assessments, oversee hazard rectification, and serve as the main liaison to regulatory agencies. Reports to Plant Manager and leads EHS initiatives across operations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing EHS management experience, factory environment preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry training certificate is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and establish the plant's Safety Management System with policies, SOPs and emergency plans.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and implement control measures for each position.
• Lead high-risk safety operations (LOTO, confined space, hot work) and track hazard rectification.
• Conduct safety training programs including orientation and refresher sessions; promote safety culture.
• Ensure EPA and SC environmental compliance; manage permits and record-keeping; drive waste minimization and energy conservation.
• Perform Occupational Health management tasks including PPE, health surveillance, and ergonomic improvements.
• Coordinate with OSHA, EPA and other agencies; prepare reports and coordinate inspections.
