About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety, and Environmental functions for a major petrochemical facility in Soweto, Gauteng. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive HSE strategies and programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will foster a strong safety culture, drive continuous improvement in HSE performance, and manage all aspects of risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, and environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HSE management within the Oil & Gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic planning abilities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE management, with significant experience in the Oil & Gas, chemical, or petrochemical sector.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing effective HSE management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, incident investigation, and emergency response.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive change across an organization.
• Proficiency in HSE management software and reporting tools.
• Experience managing environmental programs and permits.
• Must be able to work effectively on-site in Soweto, Gauteng, and potentially travel as required.
