Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a forward-thinking educational institution in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal to recruit an Educational Technology Specialist. You will integrate LMS platforms, develop digital learning resources, and support educators and students with new technology.

The role requires researching, implementing, and supporting educational technologies, troubleshooting issues, training staff, and contributing to the institution's technology strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education Technology or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years in educational technology support or integration.
• Proven experience with LMS (Moodle/Blackboard/Canvas).

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and implement new educational technologies.
• Implement and manage the LMS and other platforms.
• Provide technical training to educators and students.
• Develop guides, tutorials, and documentation for software/hardware.
• Troubleshoot issues and liaise with IT support for resolution.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology into curriculum.
• Design engaging digital learning content and resources.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in educational technology.
• Manage inventory and lifecycle of educational technology hardware/software.
• Contribute to strategic planning for technology integration.
