Placements24 is seeking an Educational Technology Specialist for our client in Mahikeng, North West. The role focuses on integrating technology into teaching and learning, evaluating and implementing digital tools, and supporting staff.

You will train staff, develop digital resources, manage the LMS, and contribute to the school's digital strategy. A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in edtech are required, with strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, CS, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in educational technology support or integration.
• Experience with LMS and digital tools (G Suite for Education, Microsoft Education).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent training and facilitation, able to explain tech to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of pedagogical principles to enhance learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in Mahikeng.
• Content creation for digital learning environments is a plus.
• Certification in educational technologies or IT is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, recommend, and implement educational technologies to support teaching and learning.
• Provide technical support for educational software, hardware, and online platforms.
• Develop and deliver training sessions for teachers and staff on educational tech.
• Create and maintain digital learning resources, tutorials, and documentation.
• Collaborate with educators to integrate tech into curriculum and lesson planning.
• Stay current with trends in educational technology and digital learning.
• Manage and maintain the school's LMS and other educational platforms in North West.
• Assist in developing the school's digital strategy and technology policies.
• Promote digital literacy and responsible technology use among students and staff.
• Evaluate effectiveness of technologies and report on usage and impact.
