Placements24 is seeking an organized E-commerce Operations & Logistics Manager for our Mossel Bay, Western Cape office. You will oversee online order processing, inventory, warehousing, shipping, and returns, aiming for timely, accurate deliveries and cost efficiency.

Leading a small operations and warehouse team, you will implement SOPs, monitor KPIs, manage 3PL relationships, and drive process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction in Mossel Bay.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce operations and logistics management.
• Experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control and order fulfillment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles in e-commerce.
• Experience with warehouse and order management systems.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day e-commerce operations including order processing and returns.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and expanding e-commerce business located in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, is looking for a highly organized and efficient E-commerce Operations & Logistics Manager. This critical role will oversee all aspects of the online order fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers while maintaining cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for managing inventory, warehousing, shipping, and returns, and will play a key role in optimizing operational workflows to enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain management within an e-commerce context, and a commitment to operational excellence. This is an exciting on-site opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of our client in Mossel Bay.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day e-commerce operations, including order processing, inventory management, warehousing, and fulfillment.
• Develop and implement efficient logistics and shipping strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, couriers, and suppliers.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational and logistical processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order accuracy, on-time delivery, shipping costs, and inventory turnover.
• Manage the returns process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for customers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards within the warehouse operations.
• Lead and mentor the operations and warehouse team to foster a culture of productivity and excellence in Mossel Bay.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in e-commerce operations and logistics management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse operations, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices in an e-commerce environment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order management systems (OMS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operational performance.
• Experience in vendor and third-party logistics provider management.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mossel Bay, Western Cape.
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive efficiency.
