Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Regional Retail Operations Manager to oversee the Durban, KwaZulu-Natal region. You will lead store performance, implement efficiency strategies, and drive profitability across multiple locations.

The role requires 7+ years in retail operations with regional experience, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of financial metrics and inventory control. Travel within the region and to HQ is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in retail operations management, including regional/multi-store oversight.
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful operational strategies.
• Strong understanding of retail financial metrics, P&L management, and budget control.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in retail management software, POS systems, and data analysis tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Durban region and to HQ when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance of all retail stores within the Durban region.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and standards across stores.
• Provide leadership and support to Store Managers to drive sales and excellence.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize region-wide resources.
• Oversee inventory management to minimize loss and ensure stock accuracy.
• Drive store maintenance, safety, and security initiatives.
• Conduct regular store visits and audits to identify best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
