Placements24 is partnering with a leading national retailer to appoint an Area Sales Manager for the Durban, KwaZulu-Natal region. You will lead a portfolio of stores, drive sales performance, and ensure exceptional customer experiences across the area.

The role demands 7+ years in retail sales management, strong leadership and a proven track record in target attainment, with the ability to travel across Durban and surrounding areas. A Business/Marketing qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in retail sales management, with 3+ years in multi-store or area management.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue growth.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Durban and surrounding regions.
• Relevant qualification in Business Management or Marketing is advantageous.
• Experience with sales reporting tools and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets in Durban.
• Monitor store performance and provide actionable insights.
• Lead and coach store managers to drive sales and service excellence.
• Ensure policy, merchandising and operational compliance across stores.
• Visit stores regularly to assess performance and provide feedback.
• Manage area budgets including staffing and local marketing.
• Identify growth opportunities and expand the region.
• Foster continuous improvement and high performance within teams.
