Job summary

Placements24, a multinational group in industrial automation, seeks a Regional Business Development Manager for the Durban region. You will identify new market opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive growth through strategic account development.

Responsibilities include developing plans to hit revenue targets, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with sales and technical teams to ensure project success. Travel within the KwaZulu-Natal region may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the industrial automation or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of the industrial landscape in KwaZulu-Natal and specifically the Durban market.
• Willingness to travel within the region.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales and revenue targets for the Durban region.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, lead generation, and cultivating relationships with key decision-makers.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for clients.
• Understand client needs and requirements, and effectively communicate how our industrial automation solutions can provide value.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
• Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential threats and opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to secure profitable business.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
