Job summary

Vine Recruitment is assisting a client between Stellenbosch and Brackenfell to hire an Export Documentation Controller responsible for accurately completing required documentation for shipments in line with consignee instructions and timelines.

The role requires a relevant diploma, at least 2 years in freight forwarding/logistics (export experience preferred), and the ability to read shipping docs, use Google Workspace, Excel, and Inttra. After-hours availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, or related field (desirable).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics (preferably export).
• Willingness for after-hours availability.

Export Documentation Controller

Our client between Stellenbosch and Brackenfell is in need of an Export Documentation Controller to accurately complete the required documentation needed per shipment as per the Consignee instruction within the required timeframes per document.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diploma in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, Distribution and Logistics Business Management or related field (Desirable).
• A minimum of 2-years’ experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics experience (Preferably export related).
• After hours availability is essential.
• Ability to identify the needs in the team and assist where needed.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace / Excel / Inttra.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documentation.
• Resilient with the ability to work under pressure and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage workload and prioritize.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fast learner in internal and external computer systems and processes.
• Ability to work with multiple key stakeholders both internal and external in a dynamic, industry-changing environment.
