Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Direct Transport Sales Representative to drive new business growth in Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Durban. You will hunt for opportunities, build a robust pipeline, and close deals while managing existing client relationships.

The role requires 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment. Valid driver’s license and SFDC experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through lead identification, cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer requirements and present suitable Maersk solutions.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Prepare and deliver proposals and quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and close sales.
• Maintain accurate SFDC records and coordinate with internal teams.
