EnableSA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Creditors Clerk for a Port Elizabeth-based role on a 6-month contract. Responsibilities include end-to-end accounts payable processing, invoice verification, matching to PO, supplier statements, and timely payments within terms.

The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12, an accounting/bookkeeping qualification, at least 2 years of creditors experience, and strong reconciliation and invoicing skills.

• Perform the full creditors / accounts payable function from invoice receipt to payment processing.

• Match invoices to supporting documentation, purchase orders and approvals.
• Prepare and reconcile supplier accounts and statements monthly.
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries, discrepancies and reconciling items.
• Prepare creditor payment schedules and supporting documentation for review.
• Load and/or submit payments for approval processes per policies.
• Ensure all payments are processed within agreed supplier terms.
• Maintain accurate creditor records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Assist with ad hoc accounts payable and other finance tasks.
• Ensure month-end transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Responsibilities:

• Perform the full creditors / accounts payable function from invoice receipt to payment processing.
• Verify, capture and process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
• Match invoices to supporting documentation, purchase orders and approvals.
• Prepare and reconcile supplier accounts and statements monthly.
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries, discrepancies and reconciling items.
• Prepare creditor payment schedules and supporting documentation for review.
• Load and/or submit payments for the required approval processes in accordance with company policies and delegated authorities.
• Ensure all payments are processed within agreed supplier terms.
• Maintain accurate creditor records, files and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and audit requirements.
• Assist with ad hoc accounts payable and other finance-related administrative duties as required.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately processed and recorded within strict month-end deadlines.
• Ensure all invoicing, billing, and reconciliations are completed accurately and timeously to support month-end processes.
• Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records to support audit requirements.

Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• Accounting, Bookkeeping or related qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years creditors experience.
• Strong experience with accounts payable, billing, and reconciliations.
