Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a Counter Sales team member to assist customers with product inquiries and purchases at the sales counter. You will process sales transactions accurately, maintain a tidy showroom, and monitor stock levels to ensure products are available and properly displayed.

The role requires Grade 12/NQF 4 and at least 1 year of sales experience in hardware retail or similar environments, with carpentry experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 1 year sales experience in a hardware retail, wholesale or similar environment
• 1 year carpentry experience would be advantageous
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Well developed problem solving and analytical skills
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Accurate processing of order requests from customers.
• Accurate processing of sales made by customers.
• Accurate receipt of payments received and related banking processes.
• Advise customers correctly on products.
• Assist customers with any product queries.
• Assist with customer complaints timely.
• Be available in area of responsibility.
• Assist in other departments as required.
• Product knowledge on all products and services offered.
• Ensure stock is merchandised immediately after being received.
• Ensure sales counters are kept free of stock and presentable.
• Safety (OHSA) compliance within area of responsibility.

• Stock in area of responsibility is to be merchandised in a safe manner ensuring the safety of Customers and Employees
• Be aware of suspicious behaviours or people and report any suspicions to Management.
• No product to be loaded for a customer without proof of purchase or required documentation
