Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in Soweto is seeking a Counter Sales associate to assist customers with product inquiries and purchases, process sales, and keep the showroom neat and stocked.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12 and at least 1 year sales experience in hardware retail, with carpentry exposure being a plus; must be able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 1 year sales experience in a hardware retail, wholesale or similar environment.
• 1 year carpentry experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Well developed problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Accurate processing of order requests received from customers.
• Accurate processing of sales made by customers.
• Accurate receipt of payments received and related banking processes.
• Advise customers correctly on products.
• Assist customers with any product queries.
• Assist with customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Must be available in the area of responsibility.
• Assist in other departments as and when required.
• Product knowledge on all products and services offered.
• Assist with packing stock away as per allocated bins.
• Ensure stock is merchandised immediately after being received.
• Ensure sales counters are kept free of stock and presented well.
• Safety (OHSA) compliance within area of responsibility.
• Stock in area of responsibility merchandised safely for customers and employees.
• Be aware of suspicious behaviours and report to Management.

Description:

Assist customers with product inquiries and purchases. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and showroom. Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed

Requirements:
