Job summary

Placements24 in Gauteng is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction and renovation projects in the Tembisa area. This hands-on role requires coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and clients from planning to handover.

You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while managing budgets, schedules, and regulatory compliance. A national diploma or degree in construction-related field and at least five years of project management experience are required.

Qualifications

• A National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
• Experience overseeing renovation and new build projects.
• Proficiency in scheduling, reading blueprints, and knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction and renovation projects from planning to handover.
• Develop detailed schedules with WBS, resources, and critical path analysis.
• Ensure safety and quality standards on-site.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor costs, budgets, and procurement; manage variances.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to track milestones.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Prepare regular project reports including progress and financial status.
• Resolve on-site issues to keep project progressing smoothly.
