Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee construction and development projects in Vereeniging, Gauteng. This on-site, full-time role requires strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and site supervision to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulators to ensure quality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 6+

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of project management experience in construction.
• Experience managing commercial and residential developments.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects from feasibility to handover.
• Develop and manage project budgets and cost control.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules and monitor progress.
• Oversee site operations ensuring safety and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage client relationships and align expectations through the lifecycle.
• Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks; implement controls.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
