Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in compensation and benefits administration and design.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS systems.
• In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, benefits design, and SA labor law related to remuneration.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in developing and managing incentive plans and executive compensation is a plus.
• Professional certification in compensation (e.g., CCP) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
• Conduct job evaluations and salary surveys to maintain a competitive pay structure.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other statutory benefits.
• Analyze compensation data and provide recommendations for adjustments and new program development.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant compensation and benefits legislation and regulations.
• Communicate compensation and benefits information effectively to employees and management.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and other HR functions on total rewards strategy.
• Manage relationships with external benefits providers and brokers.
• Prepare reports and presentations on compensation and benefits metrics and trends.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in compensation and benefits.
