About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding service provider with a diverse workforce, is seeking a dedicated Compensation and Benefits Specialist to support their operations. This role, based remotely but with occasional team meetings in Soweto, Gauteng , will be responsible for the administration, design, and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs. You will play a key role in ensuring that our client's reward strategies attract, retain, and motivate employees, while remaining compliant and cost-effective. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of C&B principles and practices. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including medical aid, retirement funds, and other statutory benefits.
• Assist in the design and implementation of compensation structures, salary bands, and incentive programs.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure the competitiveness of compensation and benefits offerings.
• Process payroll data related to compensation and benefits accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation related to compensation and benefits (e.g., BCEA, COIDA).
• Respond to employee queries regarding compensation and benefits policies and programs.
• Prepare reports and analyses on compensation and benefits trends, costs, and effectiveness.
• Support the annual salary review and bonus cycle process.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compensation and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners and management on C&B related matters.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits administration.
• Solid understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and benefits administration.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level required) and HRIS systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with South African labor laws and regulations pertaining to compensation and benefits.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Proactive and organized approach to managing tasks.
