Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or related field.
• Master's degree or CCP/CBP certification is highly desirable.
• 5–7 years of progressive C&B experience in tech or multinationals.
• Deep knowledge of compensation philosophies, job grading, pricing.
• Strong SA regulatory knowledge and analytic skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; advanced Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
• Executive compensation design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and administer competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure programs remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Manage annual compensation review processes, including salary increases, bonuses, and merit increases.
• Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, such as medical aid, retirement funds, life insurance, and wellness initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation pertaining to compensation and benefits in South Africa.
• Develop and maintain clear and concise communication materials for employees regarding C&B programs.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide expert advice on C&B matters.
• Analyze C&B data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for benefits and compensation programs.
• Lead or contribute to special projects related to compensation and benefits strategy and design.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or specialized certification (e.g., CCP, CBP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits management, preferably with a focus on technology or multinational corporations.
• In-depth knowledge of compensation philosophies, salary structures, job grading, and market pricing methodologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of South African employee benefits landscape and regulations.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven experience with HRIS and payroll systems, and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Experience in designing and implementing executive compensation programs is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of global compensation practices is an advantage.
