Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join its Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal team. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing competitive C&B programs that align with market trends and company goals.

The successful candidate will administer benefits programs, develop salary structures, benchmark against the market, and ensure payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance. A hybrid work setup is available in Richards Bay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of compensation and benefits administration experience.
• Solid understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation methods, and benefits design.
• Knowledge of South African labor law and tax regulations relevant to C&B.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other welfare schemes.
• Develop and maintain competitive compensation structures, including salary bands, job grading, and incentive plans.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure compensation and benefits are competitive.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
• Process payroll adjustments and ensure accuracy in payroll processing related to compensation changes.
• Manage vendor relationships for benefits providers and other C&B related services.
• Prepare reports and analyses on compensation and benefits costs, trends, and program effectiveness.
• Communicate compensation and benefits information effectively to employees.
• Participate in the annual review and renewal of compensation and benefits programs.
• Support HR with ad-hoc projects related to compensation and benefits.
