Job summary

iMedrecruit is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for our Roodepoort, Gauteng clinic. The ideal candidate will manage patient coordination, front desk operations, and general practice administration with discretion and professionalism.

You will handle scheduling, reminders, payments, and communication with healthcare providers while maintaining patient confidentiality in a sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent is required; a relevant admin qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in a medical practice is beneficial and highly valued.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is essential; familiarity with Vericlaim is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and maintain a calm, supportive front desk area.
• Answer calls, emails, and messages professionally and promptly.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments; provide clear instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate filing of records.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and submit billing documentation.
• Liaise with doctors, nurses, and specialists to coordinate care.
• Prepare invoices and manage stock and office supplies.

Education

Matric / Grade 12

Degree or diploma in Office Administration advantageous
