• Manage all phases of the development process, including feasibility studies, site acquisition, planning, design, financing, construction, and leasing/sales.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure strict adherence throughout the development lifecycle.
• Oversee and coordinate teams of architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and legal advisors.
• Secure necessary permits, approvals, and entitlements from relevant authorities.
• Manage relationships with investors, lenders, government agencies, and community groups.
• Conduct market analysis to determine optimal property types, design, and pricing strategies.
• Mitigate project risks and resolve issues that may arise during the development process.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor project performance, including financial returns and market acceptance.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent and reputable commercial property development firm operating in Nelspruit and the broader Mpumalanga region, is seeking an accomplished Commercial Property Developer to lead and manage key development projects. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in identifying lucrative development opportunities, overseeing the entire development lifecycle from conception to completion, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial landscape of Nelspruit and contributing to the firm's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Deep understanding of the development process, construction management, finance, and real estate law.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in project financing and investment analysis.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and standard business applications.
• In-depth knowledge of the Mpumalanga real estate market, particularly Nelspruit, is highly advantageous.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
