About the Role

Our client, a prominent property development company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Real Estate Project Manager to oversee significant construction and development projects in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga . This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strong organizational skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and handover. This is a critical position for driving the successful execution of our client's development pipeline in the Mpumalanga region.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage real estate development projects from initiation to completion. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Oversee site selection, feasibility studies, and regulatory approvals. Manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants. Ensure projects comply with all building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Control project costs and manage vendor contracts and payments. Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings. Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, specifically within the real estate development or construction industry. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale development projects in Nelspruit or the surrounding areas. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and project management methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and the full Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Understanding of financial controls and budget management for construction projects.
