Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Commercial Property Architect to lead the design of office, retail, and mixed-use developments in Mpumalanga/Nelspruit. This remotely-based role requires a proactive architect who can drive concept to construction documentation while coordinating with developers and consultants.

You will oversee project timelines and budgets, ensure code compliance, and deliver commercially viable, aesthetically pleasing designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in commercial property development.
• Portfolio of successful commercial projects required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
• SACAP registration or eligibility preferred.

Responsabilités

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic property development and investment firm, is seeking a skilled Commercial Property Architect to join their team, working remotely with a focus on projects in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This role requires a proactive architect with a strong understanding of commercial building design, development processes, and market demands. You will be responsible for overseeing architectural aspects of commercial projects, including office buildings, retail centers, and mixed-use developments, from initial concept through to construction documentation and site supervision. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage projects efficiently, coordinate with consultants, and ensure designs are commercially viable and aesthetically pleasing. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for commercial property developments, including conceptualization, schematic design, and detailed documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

• Proven experience in designing and managing various types of commercial projects (e.g., office parks, retail centers, industrial properties).
• Strong understanding of property development cycles, market analysis, and financial feasibility.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage remote teams, and deliver high-quality results.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems relevant to commercial construction.
• Registered with SACAP or eligible for registration is highly preferred.
