Placements24 is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a reputable tourism enterprise in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will manage the full AP cycle, process invoices, code accurately, and maintain vendor relationships in a hybrid role.

The role requires 2–3 years of AP experience, proficiency with QuickBooks or Sage, strong Excel skills, and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach. You’ll contribute to month-end close and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Process all vendor invoices accurately and efficiently with proper coding.
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment disbursement.
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, POs, and receiving reports.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and schedule weekly payment runs via EFT or other methods.
• Maintain accurate vendor master files.
• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls for all AP transactions.
• Identify and implement process improvements within AP.
