Placements24 is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a part-time hybrid role based in Paarl, Western Cape. The candidate will manage the full AP cycle, ensuring timely invoice processing, accurate payments, and strong vendor communication.

The role requires 2–3 years in AP, proficiency with Pastel/Sage Evolution and Excel, and excellent organizational skills. Hybrid on-site/off-site work supports flexibility with month-end tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in accounts payable or similar finance role.
• Proficiency with Pastel and Sage Evolution and Excel.
• Strong understanding of AP processes and best practices.

Responsabilités

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify and reconcile invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (EFT, cheques, etc.).
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally.
• Maintain accurate vendor master files and keep information up-to-date.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures for accounts payable.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance AP efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company AP policies and procedures.
