Placements24 is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for its Paarl office. The role focuses on processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate vendor records within a busy finance team.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in AP, strong data entry, and proficiency in Pastel or QuickBooks and Excel. A bookkeeping or accounting qualification is preferred and attention to detail is essential.

• High school diploma or equivalent; bookkeeping/accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in an accounts payable role.

Mansioni

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Ensure payments are approved per company policy.
• Prepare and schedule EFT/cheque runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized vendor files and records.
• Respond to vendor payment inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing related to AP.
• Identify improvements to AP process.
