Job summary

Salt is expanding its international financial services team in Cape Town. The Onboarding Specialist II will manage the full client lifecycle from account opening through activation, ensuring a compliant and efficient onboarding journey.

You will collaborate with advisors, clients, custodians, and internal teams to coordinate setup, documentation, transfers, and activation while maintaining precise records and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in Operations, Client Services, or Client Onboarding within an RIA, wealth management, investment management, or broader financial services environment.
• Experience with platforms such as Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Salesforce, DocuSign, or similar financial services systems.
• Strong understanding of account opening and client onboarding processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end client onboarding and account opening process.
• Guide clients through onboarding requirements and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely account setup and activation.
• Prepare, review, and process account opening forms, transfers, and client agreements.
• Facilitate electronic signature processes using DocuSign and other platforms.
• Support asset transfers, account funding, and related administrative activities.
• Liaise with custodians and banking support teams to resolve onboarding and account-related queries.
• Maintain accurate records and workflow management through Salesforce and other internal systems.
• Ensure all onboarding activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver a high-quality client experience throughout the onboarding journey.
