Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to contribute to essential infrastructure development in the Eastern Cape. The role covers concept, design, and documentation of roads, drainage, and site development for public and private clients.

You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions, while staying updated on best practices and new design technologies. This opportunity supports flexible remote work policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of civil infrastructure design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydrological/hydraulic tools.
• Knowledge of South African planning, design, and construction standards.
• Experience in the Eastern Cape is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop civil infrastructure including roads and drainage.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and specs using relevant software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments.
• Ensure compliance with SA standards and regulations.
• Review RFIs and assist during construction.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet objectives.
