Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure design and project management in East London. You will develop concepts through detailed drawings, reports, and tender documents for roads, water, and drainage projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of experience; Pr Eng registration with ECSA is preferred. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, compliant infrastructure on schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration as a Pr Eng with ECSA is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil design and infrastructure project management.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related design tools.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water supply, and sanitation systems.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations for new infrastructure projects.
• Manage construction phases, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all designs and construction adhere to relevant engineering standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
