Placements24 in East London seeks a proactive Civil Engineer to join our infrastructure development team. The role focuses on planning, design, and supervision of municipal and private projects including roads, water reticulation, and stormwater management.

You will work with government bodies, developers, and construction teams to deliver public works in the Eastern Cape. The position offers a hybrid work model, professional growth, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project implementation.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for roads, stormwater systems, water supply, and sanitation infrastructure.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports.
• Prepare contract documentation, including specifications and drawings for tender purposes.
• Supervise construction activities on-site to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with relevant municipal bylaws and national standards.
