Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a capable Civil Engineer to lead roads and stormwater design in Upington. You will plan, design, and oversee infrastructure projects that improve connectivity and water management for the Northern Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in road and stormwater design/management.
• Pr Eng or Pr Eng Tech registration with ECSA.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Civil Designer.
• Knowledge of geometric design, materials and construction methods.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design road alignments, pavements, and intersections.
• Plan stormwater drainage systems incl. culverts, channels, ponds.
• Conduct site investigations, traffic analysis, and hydrological studies.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Supervise construction to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and stakeholders.
