About the Role

You will lead a team of surveyors, implement advanced surveying technologies, and establish best practices for data collection and analysis. While this position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for significant remote work, periodic on-site presence will be essential for site supervision, quality control, and team management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of surveying accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all survey activities, including topographic, boundary, and control surveys for mining operations.


• Implement and maintain advanced surveying technologies such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanning.


• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all survey data, drawings, and reports.


• Develop and enforce survey standards, procedures, and safety protocols.


• Train and mentor survey team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.


• Collaborate with mine planning, engineering, and geology departments to provide essential spatial data.

Requirements

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification or equivalent.


• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine surveying, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
