About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Chief Mine Surveyor to oversee all surveying operations for their expanding mining activities in Richards Bay . This senior role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all spatial data related to mine development, operations, and compliance. You will lead a team of surveyors, implement advanced surveying technologies, and ensure that all work meets regulatory standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to precision in a critical operational function within the mining value chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all mine surveying activities, including surface and underground operations.
• Develop and implement surveying procedures, standards, and quality control measures.
• Process and interpret survey data, producing accurate mine plans, cross-sections, and volume calculations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental requirements pertaining to mine surveying.
• Supervise, train, and mentor the surveying team, fostering a culture of accuracy and safety.

Requirements
