Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join a luxury catering company based in Somerset West. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated chef looking to work in a professional, high-quality culinary environment where attention to detail and consistency are essential.

Location: Somerset West, Western Cape

Position: Chef de Partie

Property: Luxury Catering Company

Salary: R18,000 - R21,000 per month

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes consistently according to established recipes and presentation standards.


• Take responsibility for an assigned section of the kitchen and ensure it operates efficiently.


• Assist with preparation for functions, events and catering requirements.


• Maintain excellent food quality, portion control and presentation.


• Ensure all ingredients are prepared and stored correctly.


• Work closely with the Sous Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service.


• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety throughout the kitchen.


• Assist with stock rotation, portion control and minimising food wastage.


• Contribute positively to a professional and team-focused kitchen environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar senior chef role.


• Relevant culinary qualification would be advantageous.


• Experience within a high-end restaurant, hotel, lodge or catering environment.


• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.


• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality food.


• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.


• Strong organisational and time-management skills.


• Good communication and teamwork abilities.


• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.


• Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends and event-based hours when required.
