Placements24 is seeking a Senior Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the immaculate maintenance and presentation of a championship-level golf course in Port Elizabeth. You will lead a team of groundskeepers, ensuring playability, aesthetics, and sustainability at the highest standards.

This role requires deep turfgrass agronomy expertise, strong leadership, and budget oversight, with a housing allowance and opportunities for professional development in a prestigious setting.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years in golf course maintenance with 4+ years in a senior role.
GCSA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Proficiency in turfgrass management, irrigation, pest and disease control, and fertilizer programs.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement agronomic plans for turfgrass health, irrigation, and pest management.
Supervise and mentor a team of grounds staff.
Manage the course maintenance budget and equipment costs.
Operate and maintain maintenance equipment fleet.
Ensure optimal playability, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability.
