Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Head of Golf Operations to lead all facets of our premier golf facilities, including course maintenance, club operations and guest services.

You will drive strategic planning, budget oversight, and staff development to deliver world-class experiences for members and visitors. This is a senior leadership role requiring a deep passion for golf, business acumen, and a track record of elevating service standards in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in golf course management or operations.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage complex budgets and P&Ls.
• Strong knowledge of agronomy, tournament operations, and club management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Membership in a recognized professional golf association preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the golf course, including agronomy, turf management, and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to enhance revenue and profitability of golf operations.
• Oversee all aspects of the golf shop, practice facilities, and F&B outlets related to golf.
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met and exceeded for members and guests.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of golf professionals and operational staff.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and operational controls.
