Job summary

Bliss Brands, a proudly South African manufacturer of trusted household brands, seeks a suitably qualified Certificated Engineer (Factories) for its Wadeville, Germiston plant. The role ensures safe, compliant operation of plant machinery and drives reliability and continuous improvement across the factory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• GCC as Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (Factories).
• 3–4 years' relevant experience in FMCG manufacturing.
• Experience with regulatory inspections and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and General Machinery Regulations.
• Oversee safe operation, inspection, maintenance and reliability of plant equipment.
• Plan and implement preventative, predictive and routine maintenance programmes.
• Support Production Managers in achieving equipment efficiency and uptime.
• Monitor mechanical and electrical systems including pumps, conveyors, HVAC, boilers and chillers.
• Lead commissioning, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety improvement initiatives.
• Analyse performance data and prepare management reports.
