Job summary

Pronel Consultants is seeking a senior General Manager: Plant Engineering & Facilities to lead reliability, maintenance, facilities and engineering compliance within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on safe, stable, reliable production and building high-performing technical teams.

The successful candidate will own asset reliability, oversee utilities/infrastructure, ensure compliance, and drive capability development across engineering functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years engineering experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Minimum 5 years leading maintenance, reliability, plant engineering or asset management teams.
• Proven experience implementing and improving preventative, predictive and planned maintenance systems.
• Experience leading artisans, technicians, contractors and technical teams.
• Strong experience in engineering compliance, machinery safety, risk controls and statutory inspections.
• Experience with maintenance budgets, critical spares, shutdown planning and contractor management.
• Exposure to presses, automated lines, welding systems, conveyors, robotics, utilities and high-uptime production environments.

Are you a senior engineering professional with strong experience in plant engineering, maintenance and reliability within a manufacturing or industrial environment?

Our client is looking for a General Manager: Plant Engineering & Facilities to lead the reliability, maintenance, facilities and engineering compliance functions within a manufacturing environment.

This is a senior operational leadership role suited to a practical engineering leader who can build effective systems, develop technical teams and ensure that plant, equipment, infrastructure and utilities support safe, stable and reliable production.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• NQF 7 in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent recognised engineering qualification.
• BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• GCC Factories.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years' engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience leading maintenance, reliability, plant engineering or asset management teams.
