An exciting career opportunity exists at Medipost Pharmacy WC CDU for an Inventory Manager reporting to the General Manager. This position is based in Parow, Western Cape.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- Manage and oversee stock control processes and stock levels at CDU
- Ensure adequate stock availability at CDU as per the SLA with the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness
- Monitor usage and historic sales trends regularly and provide specifications to BI to build relevant data reports
- Adequate stock procurement and management of stock levels to meet operational demands
- Manage the capturing of purchase orders onto the WMS and Flexgen within SLA
- Determine and report on weekly estimates for the CMD and the CMD Pre-packing unit
- Laisse with CMD personnel and suppliers to maintain good relationships and ascertain stock delivery statuses
- Respond to WCGH queries within the 7-day SLA
- Oversee the cycle counts and stock taking procedures within the bulk warehouse, receiving, stock returns, stock damages, stock salvages and pre-dispensing
- Reconcile and perform stock take discrepancy investigations concurrently with the stock take co-ordinator
- Ensure the quarterly stock declaration report is made available to the WCGH within SLA
- Ensure damaged stock replacement orders are accurately and timeously logged
- Manage the input, output and ensure maintenance of the automated pre-dispensing labelling machine
- Monitor pre-dispensing and bulk warehousing output stats and reporting
- Manage and oversee stock receiving and bulk warehouse processes
- Manage and oversee stock returns and damages processes
- Manage and oversee pre-dispensing and fine-picking processes
- Maintain batch tracking in the relevant departments
- Monitor and verify stock expiry dates (bulk warehouse, pre-dispensing, receiving and stock returns)
- Evaluate and create new pack sizes upon request from order processing’
- Create and maintain stock codes
- Communicate low stock availability to production when relevant data is available
- Communicate out of stock items and ensure the flag is adequately maintained as per the SLA requirements
- Ensure product complaints are logged with the relevant supplier
- Maintain good relationship between Inventory and production personnel to ensure effective communication
- Systems monitoring, quality of work evaluation, trend analysis of data with timeous escalation of possible problematic areas
- Compiling and management of SOP’s when required
- Perform any ad-hoc projects which might be necessary for the WCGH and the Group at large.
- Statistical reporting weekly/monthly/ad-hoc
- Management of expenses within budget for all relevant departments
- Weekly Team meetings
- Probation and Performance management evaluations conducted within agreed timelines
- Adherence to and manage good housekeeping practises within the relevant departments
- Investigation and accurate reporting of errors
- IR interventions done timeously and accurately
- Support Company Transformation Plan Strategy
- Identification of HPI’s and Personal Development Plans (PDP) created
- Coaching and mentoring of HPI’s
- Create PDP’s for all staff
- Regular review and feedback sessions with action plans to meet PDP outcomes
- Staff productivity monitoring and management
- Manage time & attendance according to Company Policies
- Implement reward & recognition programme
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 or more years managerial experience, coupled with a strategic outlook and focus
- 2 or more years administrative experience
- 2 or more years warehouse / stock management (procurement, stock control, stock levels, invoicing, stock returns processes)
- Ideal: -Intermediate / Advanced MS Excel
- -Warehouse / Stock Management Experience
